NNL24| Week 6 Review; Match Results And Major Talking Points

The Nigeria National League (NNL) week 6 saw some surprising results, alongside some high octane flow of football.

From Gateway FC losing 1-0 at home to bottom placed FC One Rocket, to Giant Brillars snatching a rare win at Warri Wolves home. It wasn’t a different story at the Giginya Memorial Stadium, where Sokoto United handed Sporting Supreme their first defeat of the season.

Coal City also won away from home. It was indeed an entertaining weekend in the NNL.

In Conference A, Madiba FC maintained their great run of form, beating 1472 at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, by three goals to two, their fifth win of the season.

At the Remo Stars Stadium, Remo, The Abeokuta Stormers lost at home to another struggling team, Abia Comets, by 3-2, despite leading 2-1 by half time.

Smart City, Dakkada FC and Rovers also recorded home wins in Conference A, beating Beyond Limits, Ekiti United and Vandrezzer respectively.

Two away wins were recorded in Conference B, FC One Rocket, Giant Brillars traveled to Ogun and Delta State respectively to pick maximum points, while Osun United won Ijebu United at the Osogbo City Stadium.

Tradesafe FC and Ikorodu City will battle at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena tomorrow, while Solution FC and Crown FC will settle their scores in Awka.

In Conference C, Mighty Jets, Yobe Desert Warriors and Wikki Tourist all won at home, beating the trio of Zamfara United, NAF and Nasarawa United respectively.

The last game of the group this year, will see Elkanemi Warriors and ABS battle for Supremacy at the El-Kanemi Stadium, Borno.

Sporting Supreme lost their first game of the season, to Sokoto United, while City F.C were one goal better than Malumfashi F.C, Adamawa United and Mailantarki FC played out a goalless draw. Jigawa Golden Stars and Kebbi United will play tomorrow.
