As the second round of the 2024/2025 Nigeria National League – NNL, gets under way across various centres this weekend, a high-powered delegation of players and officials of Dakkada Football Club has today, Thursday, stormed the commercial city of Lagos for a date with 1472 FC.

The match, scheduled for one o’clock in the afternoon of Saturday, April 5, is a matchday twelve fixture of Conference-A.

Speaking shortly upon arrival, Head Coach Emmanuel Ntuk expressed optimism about getting a positive result in Lagos, basing his feeling on elaborate preparation and proper motivation.

“The extended mid-season break allowed us ample opportunity to get everyone fit and fine-tune our tactics on the training ground, this and the prompt payment of salaries are both motivation and grounds for optimism.” Mr Ntuk.

“We are well aware of what a win in Lagos would do to our season’s aspirations, and we will be going all out for it.” The Uyo-born tactician added.

Dakkada, 2019 NNL champions, who walked over Saturday’s opponents in the reverse fixture, exactly thirty-four days to the day, sit seventh place in the standings with fourteen points, six drift of the place-off places and nine above those of relegation.
