Osun United Coach Oluseye Ajayi Relieved After 2-0 Win Over Akpabio FC
Head Coach of Osun United, Oluseye Ajayi, has expressed relief and renewed optimism following his team’s 2-0 victory over Akpabio FC, marking their first win in the second round of the ongoing Nigeria National League (NNL) season.
Speaking after the crucial home win, Ajayi admitted the result came as a major boost for the team after enduring a rough patch in recent fixtures.
“A very big relief,” he said. “We had played three matches in the second round without a win, but this fourth game came through for us.”
Ajayi praised his players for their resilience and believes the team can now build on the victory to reignite their campaign.
“We shall build on this win and make sure we qualify for the playoffs — by His grace,” he added.
The result lifts the morale in the Osun United camp as they continue their quest for a place in the NNL Super Eight, which serves as the promotion gateway to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).
